A leading connectivity provider in Taastrup is seeking a Data Center Designer (SME) to oversee design and operations of mission-critical data centers. The successful candidate will have expertise in data center infrastructure and cooling systems. Responsibilities include providing technical authority on projects, reviewing designs, and ensuring quality handover to operations. Strong English skills are required, and the role offers the opportunity to contribute internationally within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Experience with mission-critical environments is essential.
• Strong technical judgment and an ability to challenge designs are required.
• Motivation for acting as a Trusted Advisor is crucial.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority within large data center projects.
• Provide expert input on mechanical and electrical designs.
• Review consultant and supplier designs for quality assurance.
• Support early project phases through design discussions.
• Conduct technical risk assessments and support decision-making.
• Define and review technical requirements and scopes of supply.
• Participate in FATs and site inspections.
• Document and ensure high-quality handover to Operations.

Skills

Data center infrastructure experience

Understanding of cooling systems

Alarm and monitoring systems knowledge

Ability to review engineering drawings

Fluent English
