Job summary

GlobalConnect is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to shape our Nordic underlay and service development. You will turn service concepts into scalable architectures, define models, and create configuration templates for multi-tenant networks across the Nordics.

You’ll collaborate with OSS/BSS, Security, Operations and suppliers to ensure automation, observability and operational readiness, from design through launch and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in carrier or large-enterprise networking.
• Deep knowledge of BGP, MPLS L3VPN/L2VPN, EVPN, SR, OSPF/IS-IS.
• Experience with OSS/BSS integration and automation.
• Experience with vendor platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Arista).
• Fluent in English; Scandinavian language a plus.
• Based in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Uppsala, or Oslo.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve underlay architecture for new and existing network services.
• Translate service requirements into scalable architectures, service models, configuration templates and APIs.
• Building automation and OSS integrations using technologies such as Python, Ansible, YANG/NETCONF, gNMI and REST.
• Running lab validation and pilots; post-launch tuning and lifecycle work.
• Coordinating with Product, OSS/BSS, NOC, Security and suppliers for KPIs and smooth handovers.
