Job summary

WPP Open Intelligence is expanding its engineering team in Denmark to build scalable backend services and high-performance edge capabilities. You will own reliable backend services, design robust API integrations, and collaborate across partner APIs, internal APIs, and orchestration components.

You’ll work with Python, Go, or Java/Kotlin in production-scale systems, with a strong emphasis on clean design, testing, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software experience in production systems.
• Experience designing and operating REST/HTTP APIs and event-driven workflows.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms, CI/CD and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and review reliable backend services and API integrations.
• Own orchestration and gateway components and internal service APIs.
• Collaborate with Product and engineering teams to translate requirements into durable production services.
• Implement robust integrations with authentication, rate limiting, retries, and versioning.
• Maintain CI/CD, testing, observability, and safe release processes.
• Mentor other engineers through design reviews and code reviews.
