Job summary

WPP Open Intelligence is seeking a skilled Data Platform Engineer to design, build, evolve, and operate cloud-native infrastructure that powers our global data and AI platform. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers, QA and IT to streamline development workflows, improve reliability, and ensure secure, scalable services across multiple regions and time zones.

This is a hands-on role focused on delivering robust data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DataOps or SRE.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• IaC experience using Terraform or equivalent.
• Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting in Bash or Python, automation-first mindset.
• GDPR and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable cloud-native systems supporting Spark analytics and AI workloads.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and multi-account environments.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and containerized data workloads.
• Optimize cost efficiency and performance of high-scale data workloads.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, QA and IT across teams.
• Champion DevOps principles and reliable, secure deployments.
