Job summary

Capgemini Denmark is seeking a Java Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable backend systems using Java and open-source frameworks. You will deliver robust, secure services with a focus on observability, testing, and operational excellence.

You will work closely with engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to translate business needs into production-ready solutions, applying clean architecture and domain-driven design.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java and JVM concepts including concurrency and memory management.
• Hands-on with open-source Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Data, Kafka and Elasticsearch.
• Practical experience with automated testing using JUnit and Groovy/Spock, and DevOps practices including Git, Maven/Gradle, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and JVM-based technologies.
• Build reliable, scalable backend solutions, including RESTful and event-driven services, with appropriate data schemas and queries.
• Ensure production-readiness through automated testing, logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting.
