Job summary

BEUMER Group is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to own mission-critical projects for baggage handling systems at major airports worldwide. You will join the Project Engineering team, collaborating across the full automation stack, and contribute to continuous improvement, tool development, and cross-disciplinary coordination. Global travel may be involved.

The role emphasizes PLC programming, system integration, commissioning, and mentoring teammates to ensure reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Siemens TIA and SCL.
• Solid experience with modular software development, component-based architectures and structured PLC programming.
• Speak and write English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC code for baggage handling system elements.
• Define best solutions for projects and test them virtually or at the test centre.
• Mentor team members and contribute to documentation.
