Would you like to join an international team with high ambitions in an inspiring environment, creating value? Then we have a challenging opportunity to shape how Carlsberg wins at customer and outlet level across markets, channels and routes to market, improving commercial performance across Western Europe, Central & Eastern Europe and Asia.

You will join the Group Sales & Value Management team in Group Commercial as Sales Execution Director, based at Carlsberg’s global head office in Copenhagen. You will lead the development of a stronger and more scalable Sales Execution model, connecting commercial strategy with clear execution standards, Route-to-Market choices, Sales Service Models, capabilities, technology, data and performance management.

This is a highly visible role with broad exposure across Group, Regions and Markets. You will define how we prioritise outlets, organise and enable our sales force, set execution standards and optimise our routes to market. Working directly with Regional and Market teams, you will lead selected transformations and ensure successful solutions are adopted and scaled across different market archetypes.

What you’ll be doing

As Sales Execution Director, you will lead the Group Sales Execution team and combine strategic leadership with a practical understanding of frontline sales. You will shape Carlsberg’s future Sales Execution model, strengthen today’s execution foundations and partner with Regions and Markets to deliver measurable commercial impact.

Shape the future Sales Execution model:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Sales Execution Strategy 2032, defining the future operating model, strategic choices and roadmap across outlet coverage, sales force effectiveness, execution standards and Route-to-Market.
  • Develop differentiated models for different market archetypes and provide fact-based recommendations to senior leadership and ExCom.
  • Lead and develop the Group Sales Execution team, building the capabilities and ways of working required to deliver the future ambition.

Continue and elevate Carlsberg FIT:

  • Own and continuously improve Carlsberg FIT (Focus, Implement, Track), including Pictures of Success (PICOS), Image Recognition and core execution standards.
  • Strengthen how execution data, SFA and AI are used to improve sales performance, productivity, coaching and action planning.

Transform and scale across markets

  • Partner with Regions and Markets to identify opportunities and lead selected transformations from design through implementation and adoption.
  • Build market ownership, align key functions and scale proven capabilities, practices and technology solutions across the Group.
What we’re looking for

We are looking for a senior commercial leader with strong Sales Execution experience who can set a clear strategic direction and work with markets to deliver practical change. You should bring the experience, curiosity and learning agility to shape the future model and lead the organisation through the transformation.

  • Extensive experience in Sales Execution, Sales Excellence, Route-to-Market or commercial transformation within FMCG/CPG, supported by 10+ years of progressive commercial experience.
  • A strong track record in senior commercial or frontline sales leadership, ideally including people leadership and P&L responsibility.
  • The ability to combine strategic thinking with a practical understanding of field execution, customer and channel dynamics, Sales Service Models and market economics.
  • Experience translating strategy into operating models, transformation roadmaps and practical market action.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional and multi-market transformations from concept through implementation and sustainable adoption.
  • A strong understanding of how technology, data, SFA, Image Recognition and AI can improve Sales Execution and sales force effectiveness.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to align senior stakeholders, challenge established ways of working and simplify complexity.
  • Experience across markets with different levels of commercial and technological maturity is preferred. Fluent written and spoken English is required.

The role reports to the VP Sales & Value Management, Group Commercial. It is based in Copenhagen and involves regular international travel to Regions and priority markets, including periods of intensive market engagement during pilots and transformations.
