Job summary

Hitachi Rail Denmark A/S is seeking a Risks & Opportunities Manager to oversee risk/opportunity registers, scoring, mitigation, and escalation within a four-level governance model for major infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate risk workshops, track contingencies, and ensure compliance with the Hitachi Code of Conduct while collaborating with project managers, finance, planning, and contract teams. Hybrid work 40/60, with 5+ years of experience in risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management for major infrastructure, rail, engineering or technology programmes.
• Knowledge of qualitative/quantitative risk methods and contingency logic.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder-challenge skills at senior/technical levels.
• Resilience under pressure when exposing risks or challenging forecasts.
• Analytical, pragmatic and action-oriented mindset.
• 5+ years in risk management on complex infrastructure.
• ISO 31000/workshop facilitation capability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate risk and opportunity management plans, scoring, register, ownership, review rhythm and escalation thresholds.
• Facilitate risk workshops to identify causes, consequences, mitigations, dates and owners.
• Coordinate risk inputs for EAC, contingency, schedule, claims and reviews.
• Track mitigation effectiveness and re-score risks based on evidence.
• Identify opportunities for cost avoidance, acceleration, or improved acceptance strategy.
• Apply Hitachi Code of Conduct in decisions, including ethical escalation and confidentiality.
• Own risk and opportunity process discipline and escalation when thresholds are met.
