Job summary

JD Sports Deutschland & Österreich is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Strøget store in Copenhagen. You will support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, drive KPIs, and coach a team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

The role focuses on leadership, staff development, and ensuring high standards in sales, customer service, and visual merchandising. A proactive, communicative leader with retail experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience required.
• Experience in leading and motivating a team.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• IT skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Train and plan career development with the store manager for internal staff.
• Assist with store recruitment, inductions and staff training.
• Monitor and analyse the store dashboard to meet or exceed targets and KPIs.
• Provide supervisory support on the sales floor and personally assist where needed.
• Maintain appropriate staff coverage during peak times.
