Job summary

Fuller Technologies is seeking a Reliability Engineer III to lead FMECA model development and reliability strategies for cement plants worldwide. You will collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Remote Services, Product Management, and commercial teams to transform data into actionable maintenance recommendations.

Required are a mechanical engineering degree and 8+ years in reliability or asset management, with experience in FMECA and ILS/RCM.

About the role

As a Reliability Engineer III, you will provide technical leadership in developing and advancing reliability models that improve equipment performance and maintenance strategies for cement plants worldwide. You will lead the development of complex Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) models, connecting failure modes with maintainable parts, maintenance activities, and service recommendations. Working closely with Mechanical Engineering, Remote Services, Product Management, commercial teams, and the ORS Product Manager, you will transform technical and operational data into scalable reliability solutions. Your work will help customers optimize their maintenance strategies while supporting aftermarket service opportunities, expanding Online Reliability Services (ORS), and creating value for both our customers and the business. Your Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of FMECA models for critical cement plant equipment.
  • Provide technical leadership on reliability engineering methodologies, maintenance strategies, and asset optimization practices.
  • Analyze complex equipment reliability, maintenance, and operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Transform reliability data into strategic maintenance recommendations, revenue-generating spare parts opportunities, qualified service leads, and digital service offerings.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of reliability frameworks that support the ORS Product Manager and expand Online Reliability Services (ORS).
  • Develop scalable reliability methodologies that convert equipment performance data into recurring aftermarket revenue opportunities.
  • Partner with Mechanical Engineering, Remote Services, Product Management, and commercial teams to develop customer-focused maintenance solutions that improve asset performance and create measurable commercial value.
  • Lead root cause analysis and equipment failure investigations to identify corrective and preventive actions.
  • Establish reliability engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices to support global consistency.
  • Drive the transformation of maintenance strategies through advanced reliability engineering, predictive maintenance, and data-driven asset management practices.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Reliability Engineers and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Support customer discussions by providing expert recommendations related to equipment reliability, maintenance optimization, spare parts planning, and lifecycle asset management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability processes, predictive maintenance approaches, and data-driven decision making.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advanced reliability methodologies.
Required Qualifications
  • You bring Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least eight years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, asset management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience developing and applying Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) or similar reliability methodologies.
  • Experience with Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), Integrated Product Support (IPS), Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), or comparable methodologies.
  • Experience supporting heavy industrial equipment, preferably within cement, mining, aggregates, power generation, oil and gas, or another process industry.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Preferred qualifications
  • Proficiency in software, scripting, and analytics tools such as Python, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with S-Series standards, including S1000D, S2000M, and S3000L.
  • Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, or leading technical projects.
