Job summary

Menzies Aviation at Copenhagen Airport is seeking a Ramp Allocator to ensure the right staff with the right skills are in the right place at the right time. You will join a new Ramp Operations team and report to the Ramp Manager, working with the Long-Term Planner and Duty Managers.

You will allocate staff to flights, adapt plans as priorities change, monitor attendance and qualifications, and help optimise resources while prioritising safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• You don't need to know our systems initially; training will be provided.
• Experience from ramp, ground handling, aviation or another fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills for planning and prioritising.
• Decisive and able to adapt quickly when plans change.
• High attention to detail; proactive and solution-oriented.
• Understanding the importance of good planning for staff and business.
• Eye for productivity and efficient use of resources.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with leadership and colleagues.
• Comfortable learning new systems and handling data; able to manage confidential information.
• English spoken/written; Danish is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Allocate Ramp and Baggage Hall staff to flights and tasks based on workload, staffing and required skills.
• Collaborate with Long-Term Planner to convert long-range plans into daily allocations.
• Adjust the plan as flights, staffing or priorities change.
• Maintain overview of attendance, qualifications, staffing levels and needs.
• Manage annual leave, compensation, training, absences, sick leave and overtime on rosters cost-effectively.
• Handle roster extensions, delays and call-ins in a fair, cost-efficient manner.
• Maximise people use while considering safety, service, welfare and cost.
• Work with operations to identify and solve staffing issues early.
• Support resource allocation in other parts of the business when needed.
• Use planning systems/tools to keep information accurate and up to date.
• Contribute to improving planning and resource use.
