Job summary

C&D Foods Denmark A/S is seeking a Quality Lead to drive food safety, quality management and continuous improvement across the site in Esbjerg. You will work with Production, Engineering, R&D, Warehouse and Quality teams to ensure compliance with customer, legal and internal standards.

Reporting to the Quality Department, you will lead audits, maintain FSQMS incl. HACCP and GMP, investigate non-conformances and promote a strong food safety culture through training and collaboration with

Qualifications

• Degree in a related food science discipline and professional quality experience.
• Strong HACCP knowledge and food safety legislation familiarity.
• Experience with audits (customer, regulatory, internal).
• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement experience.
• Internal Audit training and proficiency with quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits and contribute to certification activities.

About the position

As Quality Lead, you will become part of the Quality Department at C&D Foods Denmark and play a key role in supporting and maintaining the site's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. You will work closely with teams such as Production, Engineering, R&D, Warehouse and Quality teams to ensure compliance with customer, legal and company standards while driving continuous improvement across the site.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced quality professional who enjoys leading quality initiatives, supporting audits, improving processes, and promoting a strong food safety culture.

Your key areas of responsibility:

• Food Safety Culture & Training
• Audits, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
• Quality Assurance & Traceability

Examples of tasks could include:

• Support and continuously improve the site’s Food Safety and Quality Management System (FSQMS), including HACCP and GMP
• Participate in customer, regulatory and certification audits, as well as internal audit activities
• Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints and quality issues, driving corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve food safety and quality challenges
• Manage traceability systems, product testing programmes and external laboratory relationships
• Lead site cleaning, hygiene and pest control programmes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards
• Act as the key contact for cleaning chemical suppliers and support effective hygiene practices
• Promote food safety culture, food defence initiatives and employee awareness programmes
• Support Quality Supervisors and Quality Controllers while contributing to KPI performance and HACCP, traceability and audit teams

Candidate profile

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Quality Management, or a related discipline
• Experience in food quality, food safety or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, food safety legislation and GFSI standards, including BRCGS
• Experience with root cause analysis, risk assessments and continuous improvement tools
• Internal Audit training
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
