Job summary

C&D Foods Denmark A/S is seeking a Quality Lead to drive food safety culture and quality excellence in our manufacturing site in Esbjerg. You will support FSQMS, lead audits, and implement corrective actions across Production, Engineering, R&D, Warehouse and Quality teams.

You will champion HACCP, traceability, and continuous improvement, overseeing cleaning, hygiene, and pest control while promoting strong food safety practices among staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology or Quality Management.
• Experience in food quality, food safety or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• HACCP knowledge and familiarity with GFSI standards including BRCGS.
• Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools.
• Internal Audit training; proficient with MS Office and QMS.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the site's FSQMS including HACCP and GMP.
• Participate in customer, regulatory and internal audits.
• Investigate non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality challenges.
• Manage traceability systems and external laboratory relationships.
• Lead site cleaning, hygiene and pest control programmes.

About The Position

As Quality Lead, you will become part of the Quality Department at C&D Foods Denmark and play a key role in supporting and maintaining the site's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. You will work closely with teams such as Production, Engineering, R&D, Warehouse and Quality teams to ensure compliance with customer, legal and company standards while driving continuous improvement across the site.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced quality professional who enjoys leading quality initiatives, supporting audits, improving processes, and promoting a strong food safety culture.

Your key areas of responsibility

Examples of tasks could include

• Support and continuously improve the site's Food Safety and Quality Management System (FSQMS), including HACCP and GMP
• Participate in customer, regulatory and certification audits, as well as internal audit activities
• Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints and quality issues, driving corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve food safety and quality challenges
• Manage traceability systems, product testing programmes and external laboratory relationships
• Lead site cleaning, hygiene and pest control programmes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards
• Act as the key contact for cleaning chemical suppliers and support effective hygiene practices
• Promote food safety culture, food defence initiatives and employee awareness programmes
• Support Quality Supervisors and Quality Controllers while contributing to KPI performance and HACCP, traceability and audit teams

Candidate profile

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Quality Management, or a related discipline
• Experience in food quality, food safety or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, food safety legislation and GFSI standards, including BRCGS
• Experience with root cause analysis, risk assessments and continuous improvement tools
• Internal Audit training
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
