Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Denmark | Employment Type: Full-time | Team: Engineering & Quality

About Jeppesen ForeFlight

Jeppesen ForeFlight brings together decades of Jeppesen's aeronautical data expertise with ForeFlight's award-winning flight planning and navigation platform. Our software supports pilots, airlines, and flight departments around the world, delivering mission-critical tools for safe and efficient flight operations. As we continue to grow our presence in Europe, we're building out our Denmark-based team to help ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

About The Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Denmark. In this role, you'll design and execute test strategies for aviation software used by pilots and operators worldwide, where reliability and precision are non-negotiable. You'll work closely with software engineers, product managers, and aviation data specialists to identify defects early, improve test coverage, and help ship high-quality releases.

What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web, mobile, and backend applications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle to define acceptance criteria and quality gates.
  • Build and maintain automated test suites (functional, regression, and integration) to support continuous delivery.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, working with developers to reproduce, triage, and verify fixes.
  • Perform exploratory testing on new features, with particular attention to edge cases relevant to aviation data and flight-planning workflows.
  • Contribute to test plans and quality documentation for releases, including regulatory and compliance-related testing where applicable.
  • Monitor production quality metrics and participate in root-cause analysis of escaped defects.
  • Advocate for quality best practices across the team, including code reviews, CI/CD pipeline checks, and test automation standards.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in a software quality assurance or test engineering role.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated tests (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks).
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and basic scripting (Python, JavaScript, or similar).
  • Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Based in Denmark or willing to work from our Denmark location, with authorization to work in the EU.
Nice to Have
  • Experience testing software in aviation, geospatial, or other safety-critical, data-intensive domains.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Exposure to performance, load, or security testing.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • The chance to work on software that supports pilots and flight operations globally.
  • A collaborative, international team spanning Europe and the US.
  • Flexible working arrangements and a strong culture of continuous learning.
  • Opportunities for professional growth within a growing European engineering hub.
