Rumli is building an AI-native property management platform in Copenhagen. We seek a product engineer to turn 1,000 customer insights into scalable features, shipping end-to-end from database to UI. You will work closely with our co-founder to shape the product direction and translate customer pain into actionable builds.
The role emphasizes independent work, strong product thinking, and frontline customer interaction, with a central Copenhagen office and an equity offering for employees.
A property manager can handle 600 tenants. That's the industry limit. Why? Because the work scales linearly: matching bank transactions to invoices, chasing late payments, answering tenant questions, coordinating repairs, preparing legal notices, renewing leases. More tenants, more of the same manual work.
With AI, that limit disappears. And both landlords and tenants get a better experience.
Eight years in property operations. ~1,000 customers across Denmark, the Netherlands, and Germany. We know this industry: the workflows, the pain points, the regulations.
Now we're making a big move: becoming a property manager. Tenant communication, bookkeeping, coordinating repairs. We handle it all. A landlord shouldn't chase late payments or find a plumber at 10 pm. We do it for them.
We're building an entirely new platform to power this. AI-native from day one. Profitable, real customers, expanding across the Nordics.
Property management is a great domain for a product engineer. Thousands of similar transactions, pattern-based decisions, templated documents. And 1,000 customers who will tell you exactly where it hurts. Years of domain knowledge, ready to turn into a product.
We ship with AI agents built into the workflow. Our codebase has custom skills to improve our workflow. AI writes a lot of the code; we review it. That means the slow part of building isn't writing code anymore. It's knowing what to build. That's what this role is about.
You are autonomous and independent, working with the team to solve property managers' pains and make them as efficient as possible.
We need someone who looks at a messy problem and figures out what to build, and doesn't wait for a spec.
TypeScript everywhere. But does it even matter anymore?
Big plus: AWS, AI experience (prompt engineering, RAG, agents), fintech/proptech background, a side project you're proud of.
Real customers. Brand-new codebase. Small team where your decisions matter.
We're rebuilding from the ground up with AI as the foundation. If you want to decide what property software should do, not just build what someone else specified, reach out.
