Job summary

Shine is building Europe’s leading financial copilot for small businesses. We seek a Product Director, Banking Foundation, to own the roadmap across Ledger, Payment Rails, and Financial Integrity & Operations, and to lead PMs across the area.

You’ll shape platform strategy, coordinate across markets and regulatory needs, and drive delivery for Denmark and the Netherlands from the platform side. You will balance cross-team priorities, ensure fiscal discipline, and apply AI tooling to banking

Qualifications

• 6+ years in product, with several years on payments, core banking or financial infrastructure.
• Managed product managers and hired at least one.
• Comfortable in technical discussions about double-entry ledgers, settlement, reconciliation, SEPA and SWIFT; can debate design with a staff engineer.
• Experience inside a regulated environment and treats compliance as part of the product.
• Make decisions with incomplete data and state confidence levels.
• Balance shipping new markets with building for the future, and use AI tools in your work.

Responsibilities

• Own the Banking Foundation roadmap end to end for Ledger, Payment Rails, Financial Integrity & Operations and Banking Enablement.
• Lead and develop the product teams; hire, coach and grow PMs and engineering leads.
• Run Payment Rails as PM in the initial period and transition to dedicated PM as area grows.
• Sequence platform capacity across the bank and defend trade-offs to leadership.
• Shape the platform architecture with engineering; decide build vs buy for four markets.
• Deliver Denmark and the Netherlands from the platform side, in collaboration with other teams.
• Track platform metrics: ledger correctness, reconciliation, payment success, settlement times, availability.
