Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Preservation Architect or similar role.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field.
• Knowledge of historical preservation principles and techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, government agencies, etc.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings to determine preservation needs and develop appropriate plans.
• Research and implement preservation techniques that meet local regulations and standards.
• Collaborating with construction teams to oversee restoration projects from start to finish.
• Communicating with clients, government agencies and other stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals for restoration projects.
• Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to preservation plans.
• Maintaining accurate records of project details including budgets, timelines and materials used.
• Staying up-to-date on industry developments in preservation techniques and materials.
