Qualifications

• PhD required in a relevant discipline (biophysics, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, materials science, chemistry).
• Hands-on experience designing, developing and validating functional materials or sensing platforms.
• Strong publication record and excellent written and oral English communication.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to interdisciplinary/international collaborations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop wearable biosensors and soft bioelectronic systems.
• Engineer and characterize functional materials and biointerfaces for sensing.
• Develop and evaluate sensing platforms using biomolecules and nanomaterials.
• Perform biochemical, biophysical and electrochemical characterization of sensing systems.
• Validate sensing technologies through in vitro and ex vivo studies.
• Publish research in leading journals and present at conferences.
• Co-supervise MSc and PhD students and collaborate on research activities.
