Job summary

DTU Bioengineering seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to explore how metabolic perturbations drive multicellular dynamics, combining experimental and computational approaches. You will work across DTU and Niels Bohr Institute with advanced imaging, metabolic analyses, and biophysical modeling to uncover energy-flow effects on cellular organization.

Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant field (or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and genetic engineering.
  • Expertise in fluorescence microscopy (live imaging and light-sheet).
  • Strong communication skills in English and ability to work across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Implement optogenetic gene circuits and live-cell metabolic sensors to perturb and monitor energy flow.
  • Perform metabolic phenotyping using Seahorse XF analyzers and isotopic tracing.
  • Prepare samples for metabolomics and transcriptomics analyses.
  • Design and run 2D multicellular assays to study collective cell migration and pattern formation.
  • Conduct biophysical experiments to link metabolic state with mechanosensing and signaling.
