The successful candidate will synthesize and characterize novel materials, supervise MSc/PhD students, and contribute to project reports, publications, and grant proposals.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Materials Science, Materials Chemistry, Solid State Chemistry, Solid State Physics, Electrochemistry, or related fields.
  • Proven hands-on synthesis knowledge in solid-state chemistry, incl. mixed-anion compounds.
  • Technical skills in materials characterization (e.g., XRD, XPS, SEM).
  • Proven publication record as lead author in international journals.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Ability to work in teams and independently; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out research tasks related to the Novo Nordisk Foundation project.
  • Plan and conduct synthesis, characterization, and evaluation of materials for solar water splitting.
  • Analyze data, interpret results, and communicate findings in group seminars and at conferences.
  • Publish results in international peer-reviewed journals with high impact factors.
