Job summary

Aalborg University is inviting applications for a Postdoc in thermal processes in power to X technologies, starting Oct 2026 for 24 months at the Aalborg campus. The position is within AAU Energy's Hydrogen and Electrofuels group, focusing on high-fidelity CFD models to capture coupled phenomena.

You will work on MetNH3Energy and ACE Water projects, publish in international journals, and may supervise students. Prior experience with industrial collaborations and EU projects is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Thermal Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong CFD modelling experience.
  • Excellent English, written and spoken.
  • Experience publishing in international journals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct CFD-based research for power-to-X projects.
  • Collaborate with national and international partners.
  • Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
  • Contribute to project design and development of models.
