Job summary

Aalborg University’s AAU Energy invites applications for a Postdoc in thermal processes within power to X technologies. The position is based at the Aalborg campus and runs for 24 months from 1 October 2026.

The work focuses on high-fidelity CFD models of coupled thermal, chemical and electrochemical phenomena in energy systems. You will contribute to the MetNH3Energy and ACE Water projects, collaborate across Europe, publish in international journals, and may supervise students.

Qualifications

  • PhD level qualifications required or equivalent.
  • Research profile tied to thermal modelling.
  • Experience with CFD modelling and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct CFD modelling within projects MetNH3Energy and ACE Water.
  • Design and execute research studies, analyze data, publish results.
  • Collaborate with national and international partners and possibly supervise students.
