Job summary

AAU Energy at Aalborg University invites applications for a Postdoc in thermal processes in power-to-X technologies, starting 1 October 2026 or as soon as possible. The 24‑month position is based at the Aalborg campus and focuses on developing high‑fidelity CFD models of coupled thermal, chemical and electrochemical phenomena.

You will join the Hydrogen and Electrofuels group, collaborate with national and European partners, contribute to publications, and may supervise students.

Qualifications

  • Appointment as postdoc requires PhD level.
  • Experience with CFD modelling and high-fidelity simulations is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research within CFD modelling focusing on power-to-X technologies.
  • Publish results in international peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
  • Collaborate with national and European partners and supervise students where appropriate.
