Job summary

AAU Energy at Aalborg University invites applications for a 24-month Postdoc in thermal processes in power to X technologies. Based in Aalborg, the role focuses on CFD modelling within Hydrogen and Electrofuels, contributing to high-fidelity simulations of coupled thermal, chemical and electrochemical phenomena under dynamic operating conditions.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Thermal Engineering or equivalent.
  • Research profile connected to thermal modelling and CFD experience.
  • Strong modelling and simulation skills with data processing.
  • Experience with industrial collaborations and EU projects is a plus.
  • Publications in international journals and presentations at conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct CFD-based research on thermal processes and PtX projects.
  • Design, run, and interpret simulations; analyze data.
  • Publish results in international journals and present at conferences.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners; supervise students as needed.
  • Contribute to grant applications and new research directions.
