Job summary

University of Copenhagen is offering a 3-year postdoctoral bioinformatician position embedded between Rigshospitalet and BRIC. You will design and run analyses that connect functional CRISPR screens with population-scale biobank data.

We seek a highly motivated researcher with strong bioinformatics skills, experience in genetic epidemiology, and excellent English communication. The role includes collaborations with international partners and access to state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Qualifications

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Human Genetics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience with primary analysis of high-throughput sequencing data (CRISPR screening, bulk/single-cell/spatial transcriptomics).
• Experience with GWAS, rare-variant burden testing, and PheWAS in human populations.
• Strong programming in R and/or Python; experience with reproducible workflows and HPC.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analytical workflows linking CRISPR readouts to population-genetic data.
• Perform large-scale genetic analyses on biobank datasets (>2 million individuals).
• Analyze spatial transcriptomics, single-cell, and multi-omics data from liver cancer cohorts.
• Collaborate with wet-lab scientists and international partners.
