Job summary

MDxCore, Dept. of Clinical Biochemistry at Rigshospitalet is seeking a data scientist, bioinformatician, or software engineer to support research in personalised medicine. You will manage data analyses workflows, develop the research platform, and provide bioinformatics support to clinical departments.

The role focuses on end-to-end data processing from patient sample to diagnostics, in a full DevOps team of 15 colleagues with bioinformatics and software engineering backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics, or similar.
• Proficient in Python; Linux-based OS and shell scripting.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Experience with Git.
• PhD in bioinformatics, genomics, or clinical data science is a plus.
• Proficiency in C/C++ is a plus.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to obtain Danish level A2.
• Team-oriented and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Data stewardship and management for research projects.
• Develop and maintain workflows for data analyses.
• Provide bioinformatics support to clinical departments and build systems for the patient sample to diagnostics journey.
• Oversee daily surveillance of automated data analyses workflows and design dataflow back-ends.
• Contribute to research in genomic medicine within a DevOps team.
