Job summary

Qualifications

  • PhD in bioinformatics or biology with demonstrated software development.
  • Strong experience with statistical methods in biology.
  • Programming skills in Python and/or R.
  • Experience with Snakemake, Nextflow or CWL workflow systems.
  • Experience handling large NGS datasets and HPC UNIX environments.
  • Proven track record in peer-reviewed publications.
  • Excellent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Improve and expand workflows in the MIntO pipeline.
  • Develop novel computational workflows for microbiome multi-omics data.
  • Lead and participate in consortium projects and ongoing group research.
  • Collaborate with clinical researchers, veterinarians, biologists, and bioinformaticians.
  • Contribute to project planning, data analysis, and interpretation.
