Job summary

Vestas is seeking a SCADA Engineer to join Plant Support North in the Grid and Control area, responsible for commissioning and maintaining SCADA solutions in wind plants.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, perform tests, and contribute to product improvements, focusing on reliability and customer satisfaction. Location options include Aarhus with hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or comparable education.
• Experience in PLC programming or automation.
• Experience with communication protocols (MODBUS, IEC101, IEC104).
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Configuration, commissioning and documentation of Vestas Power Plant Controls.
• Technical advice to our internal and external stakeholders.
• Participation in Site Acceptance Tests, Grid code tests and signal testing.
• Participate in development and improvements projects to increase product efficiency and improve customer satisfaction

Region NCE and Global Offshore > NCE >Plant Support North

Plant Operations North is a part of Service Operation NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organization in installation and service of a great number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. Our job is to turn a cluster of wind turbines into a power plant according to contractual and regional requirements. Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.

Responsibilities

As a SCADA Engineer you will be a part of the Plant Support North team, in the Grid and Control area, responsible for commissioning and maintaining Vestas SCADA solutions and other automated functionalities in our power plants in compliance with Vestas standards and customer requirements. You ensure knowledge transfer and contribute to optimizing and improving our product solutions. Main tasks:

• Configuration, commissioning and documentation of Vestas Power Plant Controls
• Technical advice to our internal and external stakeholders
• Participation in Site Acceptance Tests, Grid code tests and signal testing
• Participate in development and improvements projects to increase product efficiency and improve customer satisfaction

Qualifications

This position is all about technical support. We're looking for someone who wants to use their technical knowledge as a platform to do great work for our clients. A professional level of the following points would be an advantage:

• Engineering degree, or comparable education
• Experience in PLC programming or automation
• Experience in communication protocols (ex MODBUS, IEC101, IEC104)
• Good written and spoken English knowledge
