Job summary

Alfa Laval is building a pharma-focused single-use journey within its R&D Pumps team. You will lead from concept to validation, shaping technologies and directing development of pump and drive units for pharmaceutical applications.

Working across R&D, Product Management, Quality, Regulatory, and global teams, you will ensure performance, manufacturability and compliance while advancing a broader portfolio of single-use fluid handling products.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with hands-on plastics design experience.
• Experience in product development, including prototyping, testing and design verification.
• Familiarity with mechanical design principles, fluid dynamics, GMP, and single-use materials.
• Understanding of pharma requirements, validation and compliance for regulated products.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical direction in a new product area.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop single-use products tailored for pharmaceutical applications
• Apply mechanical design principles of plastic components to ensure performance, manufacturability, and compliance
• Drive design verification, pharma product validation, and continuous improvement
• Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions
• Interact broadly at both global and local levels, navigating in a matrix organization
