Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a technical specialist for its R&D Pump team to shape entry into single-use pharmaceutical solutions. You will drive the technical journey from concept through prototyping, verification and validation, ensuring performance, manufacturability and regulatory compliance.

You'll collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Quality, Regulatory, and global teams to establish the foundation for a growing pharma offering, applying your plastics design and product development expertise

Qualifications

• Engineering background with hands-on plastics design experience.
• Experience in product development, prototyping, and testing.
• Familiarity with GMP and pharma-compliant design.
• Ability to lead technical direction in a new product area.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop single-use products for pharmaceutical applications.
• Apply mechanical design principles to ensure performance and compliance.
• Drive design verification, pharma validation, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing.
• Collaborate across global disciplines to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.
