Job summary

Alfa Laval in Denmark is seeking a technical specialist to join the R&D Pumps team and drive Alfa Laval’s entry into single-use solutions for pharma. You will shape technologies, design principles, and development approaches starting with pump and drive unit development.

You will lead design verification, pharma product validation, prototyping, and testing while collaborating across disciplines in a matrix organization to deliver compliant, high-quality single-use fluid handling products.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with hands-on experience in plastics design.
• Experience in product development, including prototyping, testing and design verification.
• Familiarity with mechanical design principles, fluid dynamics, GMP, and single-use materials.
• Understanding of pharma requirements, validation and compliance for regulated products.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical direction in a new product area.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop single-use products tailored for pharmaceutical applications.
• Apply mechanical design principles of plastic components to ensure performance, manufacturability, and compliance.
• Drive design verification, pharma product validation, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing.
