Job description

In a period of continued growth, we are strengthening our Finance team and looking for a Payroll Controller. This role is primarily focused on payroll controlling, reporting, analysis, and process development, while also supporting the operational payroll process.

Approximately 80% of your time will be spent on controlling and financial follow-up activities, with the remaining 20% dedicated to payroll operations, including payroll processing for hourly paid employees every second week. Experience with payroll operations is an advantage, but candidates with a strong controlling background and a willingness to learn the payroll process are also encouraged to apply.

Your responsibilities

• Drive payroll controlling, reporting, and analysis across business units
• Ensure high data quality, financial control, and compliance in payroll processes
• Support and execute payroll processing for hourly paid employees
• Perform reconciliations and ensure consistency between Payroll, HR, and Finance data
• Contribute to payroll budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate payroll-related processes

You will create transparency and insight across payroll data and processes, enabling informed business decisions while ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery. Working closely with both Finance and HR, you will help strengthen our controls, reporting, and operational excellence.

Your profile

• Experience within controlling, finance, accounting, payroll, or a similar analytical role
• Comfortable working with data, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis
• Interested in payroll processes and motivated to learn operational payroll tasks where needed
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial and/or payroll systems
• Structured, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a high level of accuracy

You are analytical and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership. You enjoy creating structure, improving processes, and turning data into meaningful insights. Most importantly, you see yourself as a controller first, while also being willing to support and learn the operational payroll process when required.
