Job summary

UN Women Nordic Liaison Office in Copenhagen invites a partnerships and visibility intern for a 6-month placement. You will learn UN communication strategies, engage with governments, civil society and private sector partners, and contribute to gender equality initiatives in the Nordic-Baltic regions.

The internship provides exposure to strategic partnerships, events, translation support, and media outreach while integrating into the UN City community in Denmark.

Qualifications

• University studies in political science, development studies, gender studies, international relations, or equivalent.
• Be enrolled in postgraduate degree programme or final academic year of first degree, or recently graduated and starting internship within two years.

Responsibilities

• Carry out national political research on issues related to UN Women work and report on policy developments in Nordic and Baltic regions.
• Monitor national media in Nordic countries on issues related to UN Women and report on coverage.
• Assist in planning of events and high-level visits during the internship.
• Support translation and distribution of corporate updates, statements, and press releases through national media outlets.
• Support the implementation of UN Women’s communication strategy by drafting content for social media to increase visibility in Nordic countries.
• Support outreach activities with public and private stakeholders and set up meetings to promote UN Women’s cooperation.
• Participate in joint advocacy and communication activities with UN sister organizations.
