Job summary

UN Women Nordic Liaison Office in Copenhagen is offering a 6-month internship to gain hands-on experience in partnerships and visibility across the Nordic and Baltic regions. The role supports research, media monitoring, events, translations, and content creation for social media to raise UN Women’s visibility and advance gender equality.

Qualifications

• University studies in political science, development studies, gender studies, international relations, media and political communication, journalism, or equivalent.
• Be enrolled in postgraduate degree or in final academic year of bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Carry out national political research on issues related to UN Women and report on developments in Nordic and Baltic regions.
• Monitor national media in Nordic countries and report on coverage.
• Assist in planning events and high-level visits during the internship.
• Support translation and distribution of updates and press releases through national media outlets.
• Draft content for social media to increase UN Women’s visibility and awareness of gender equality.
• Organize outreach activities with public and private stakeholders and set up meetings and events.
• Participate in joint advocacy and communication activities with UN sister organizations.
