Job summary

Vestas Technology & Procurement Logistics is seeking an experienced professional to lead outbound vessel procurement, securing ocean freight and vessel solutions for wind turbine components from factories to ports worldwide. You will manage supplier partnerships, drive sourcing initiatives and negotiate contracts to ensure capacity, cost efficiency and high service levels across global projects.

In a highly international setting, you will collaborate with Supply Chain and cross‑functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant discipline with focus on logistics or supply chain.
• Proven experience in ocean freight procurement and vessel chartering.
• Strong maritime logistics knowledge including vessel operations and cargo movements.
• Experience with non-containerized cargo solutions (MPP, heavy-lift, breakbulk) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement for outbound vessel transportation, including chartering and liner services.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure competitive terms and reliable capacity.
• Negotiate contracts and charter party arrangements while ensuring governance compliance.
• Build strategic relationships with vessel owners, shipping lines, brokers and providers.
• Monitor freight markets and vessel availability to inform decisions.
• Align transportation solutions with project schedules and operational needs.
• Act as procurement interface for outbound vessel logistics and continuous improvement.
