Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Category Lead Specialist to shape and deliver global commodity strategies. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive supplier performance, and unlock value across the supply chain in a dynamic, international environment.

With 7+ years in global procurement and a Master’s degree, you will develop and implement strategies within matrix organisations, focusing on offshore wind and EPC contexts. This role requires strong stakeholder management and results-driven leadership.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in global procurement and category/commodity management.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or Finance.
  • Offshore wind experience is a strong advantage.
  • Background in project management within EPC, oil & gas, or infrastructure.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing strategies in matrix organisations.
  • Solid leadership skills with ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Effective analytical capabilities with experience handling complex data sets.

  • Develop and align commodity strategies with business goals and stakeholder needs.
  • Execute strategies with global and regional teams to ensure a scalable and high-performing supply base.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Vestas Global Procurement is an award-winning best in class Procurement function within the world’s leading OEM for sustainable and renewable energy solutions. We are overall responsible for all Procurement activities within Vestas, including leading global and cross-functional teams, developing and implementing commodity strategies across modules, creating and capturing end-to-end value, supplier relationship management and supplier account management, performance metrics monitoring and development.

Responsibilities

Additional Information

Primary work location: Aarhus, DK or Hamburg, DE.

This position requires approximately 50 days of global travel per year.
