Job summary

Combineering is seeking an Operations Team Leader with freight forwarding background to lead a small team and manage cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.

You will drive operational performance, reporting, budgeting, and continuous improvement while ensuring ISO alignment and effective transport solutions.

Qualifications

• Freight forwarding knowledge and leadership experience in logistics.
• Academic background in logistics, business, or supply chain is preferred.
• Experience with waste/recycling sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as operational lead for the team, developing processes and compliance.
• Coordinate, report, and improve transportation operations end-to-end.
• Own departmental contribution margin and support budgeting and forecasting.

You will be working closely with both Sales, Finance, Legal & Compliance, your team itself and your team leader colleague. Delivering customer service and profitability. While optimising the supply chain, following our ISO requirements, making sure invoices are issued and paid. You will be end-to-end contributions responsible.

Your role will be partly hands on logistics solutions, but also to a large degree coordinating, reporting, developing, purchasing transport and problem solving. A great career step for an experienced freight forwarding team leader, who wants to switch from the seller to the buyer position.

You will act as the operational lead for the team and support the development of employees, processes, and customer satisfaction while working closely with the COO and other stakeholders. You will have full departmental contribution margin responsibility and will contribute to operational performance, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in the monthly closure process, budgeting process and in the development of the full operational function and department in general too. All in all: So many exciting tasks, growth possibilities and ways to add your fingerprint to the business development. While still being able to utilize your operational knowledge in your everyday life.

• especially as an educated Freight Forwarder or equivalent logistics background as a prerequisite
• Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management is an advantage

• Transport (Road/Trucking) negotiation and planning is an advantage
