Job summary

Santander Consumer Bank in Denmark seeks a proactive Collection Specialist to join the Danish Collections team, combining day-to-day case handling with process improvements. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within collections or a similar role.
• Experience in banking or financial services is an advantage.
• Knowledge of debt collection legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Interest in digital tools, automation, and system improvements.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and other channels professionally.
• Handle enquiries from customers, collection agencies, legal partners, and stakeholders.
• Manage collection activities across the customer journey, including reminders and terminations.
• Prepare cases for external debt collection and manage deceased estate cases.
• Order and retrieve documentation from authorities and institutions.
• Prepare and forward legal documents and case files to external partners.
• Support administration of repossessed assets.
• Ensure accurate documentation compliant with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve collection processes and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Nordic stakeholders to ensure compliant practices.
