Systematic Aarhus seeks a Manager for the software QA department within Defence. You will lead a team of QA Engineers, drive test strategy, coordinate activities across project teams, and partner with Directors, Managers and Architects to ensure high-quality products.
Based in Aarhus, you will travel up to 5–10 days a year to our Bucharest office to align on QA initiatives and programme progress, while driving continuous quality improvements across the Defence product programme.

As Manager for QA in one of our five product programmes, you will hold the overall QA responsibility for the product programme and lead the QA team within it. Your focus will be to ensure high-quality products by defining, coordinating and supporting test activities across project teams, while working closely with the programme’s other Managers, who lead the Developers. You will lead QA planning, reporting and improvements – creating progress, structure and transparency within the programme. At the same time, you will drive QA initiatives and implement improvements, shaping the direction for quality assurance. As a people manager, you will lead a team of QA Engineers – developing their skills, ensuring the right competencies and fostering a motivated, high-performing team.
In addition, you will be part of the QA Programme’s management team, contributing to strategic decisions and helping to guide the programme toward success.
You should expect up to 5–10 travel days a year visiting colleagues at our office in Bucharest.
You will report directly to the Senior Manager for Defence QA Management and become part of a product programme with development teams across Aarhus, Copenhagen and Bucharest, working together to bring direction and structure to QA activities. You will play a key part in ensuring high-quality outcomes through strong collaboration.

To succeed in this role, you bring 3+ years of experience within software quality assurance or test management, giving you a strong foundation in structured testing and quality delivery. In addition, you bring experience in project management and people leadership, where you have successfully motivated teams, ensured progress and delivered results through clear direction and collaboration.
You are a goal-oriented and collaborative leader with a structured mindset, strong drive and a proactive approach. You combine business understanding with technical insight to make smart, day-to-day decisions and ensure quality in everything you do.
