Job summary

C&D Foods (ABP Group) in Esbjerg seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our high-tech production lines running with reliability and efficiency. You will maintain, install, and improve processing equipment across kitchen operations, filling, and packing areas, collaborating with a multi-skilled team of technicians and contractors.

Qualifications

• Multiskilled maintenance and engineering background in food/production environments.
• Experience with PLCs, automation and electrical installations is a plus.
• Fluent English; Danish knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation and electrical systems in production facilities.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to maximise uptime.
• Respond to maintenance issues and breakdowns; update PM schedules.
• Contribute to continuous improvement using CI techniques.
• Collaborate with production and other departments to ensure equipment reliability.

You will work as part of a team of multiskilled technicians, apprentices, and contractors to maintain, install, and improve processing equipment across production areas (kitchen operations, filling, packing, and site services).

About The Position

Your key areas of responsibility

• Maintenance Operations
• Automation & Electrical Systems

Examples of tasks could be

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation and electrical systems within the production facility
• Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
• Be proactive in completing corrective work orders and responding to maintenance issues and breakdowns
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the preventive maintenance schedule (PM strategy) by providing feedback and improvement suggestions
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement enhancements using worldclass engineering and CI techniques
• Work close with production and other internal departments to ensure equipment reliability and maintain uptodate documentation

In addition to the examples mentioned above, all maintenance and engineering activities must comply with applicable Health & Safety, food safety, and quality standards, ensuring full adherence to internal procedures and regulatory requirements relevant to food and pet food production environments.

Your profile

• Technician, Blacksmith, Industrial Electrician or Automation Technician (or similar technical background)
• Fluent in English (It will be an advantage if you speak Danish or are currently learning it).
• Experience with PLC systems, automation, and industrial electrical installations is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• You have a "can do attitude"
• A proactive team player with a structured and solution-oriented mindset
• Open to learning and growing into a leadership role in the future
