Job summary

Hitachi Rail Denmark A/S is seeking a Maintenance Management System Work Package Leader to drive the maintenance and technical operation of the MMS solution. You will oversee design, interface closure, verification, and handover, coordinating across engineering, suppliers and operator maintenance processes.

The role requires leading work packages, managing interfaces, and ensuring complete, traceable documentation and readiness for service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading work packages or senior system engineering roles related to MMS, asset registers, and maintenance processes.
• Ability to manage suppliers, interfaces, assurance evidence and stakeholders across the full lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of requirements, configuration, installation and test/acceptance dependencies.
• Experience dealing with delays, defects, tests, and acceptance pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own MMS scope, schedule, budget inputs, risks, issues, dependencies, supplier delivery and milestones.
• Ensure MMS requirements, architecture, interfaces, design outputs, procurement deliverables, test procedures and handover records are complete and traceable.
• Coordinate testing, defect resolution, cybersecurity/safety/RAM/quality evidence, and O&M data inputs.
• Report progress, blockers, changes, and readiness status to Engineering and Project Governance.

About the Role

Maintenance Management System Work Package Leader contributes to maintenance and technical operation of the Solution, including monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, software updates, spare parts, reporting, service readiness and transition to Continuing Services. Its specific contribution is to lead subsystem design, requirement allocation, interface closure, support installation/testing, analyse defects and prepare handover evidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Own MMS scope, schedule, budget inputs, risks, issues, dependencies, supplier delivery and acceptance milestones.
• Ensure MMS requirements, architecture, interface documents, design outputs, procurement deliverables, installation work packs, test procedures and handover records are complete and traceable.
• Manage technical decisions and interfaces related to asset register, work orders, preventive maintenance plans, fault workflows, reports, O&M handover data and integration with operator maintenance processes.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT, integration testing, defect resolution, cybersecurity/safety/RAM/quality evidence, O&M data and training inputs.
• Report progress, blockers, change exposure and readiness status to Engineering and Project Governance.
• Apply the Hitachi Code of Conduct in role-specific decisions, including ethical escalation, anti-bribery discipline, confidentiality, data protection, fair supplier/customer conduct and transparent records.
• Lead subsystem design, requirement allocation, interface closure, support installation/testing, analyse defects and prepare handover evidence.
• Package/discipline authority within assigned subsystem baseline.
• Can approve day-to-day subsystem design/configuration decisions inside delegated scope and escalate safety, schedule, interface or contractual issues.

Authority & Accountability

Accountable for delivery performance and acceptance readiness of MMS.

Authorised to coordinate supplier/technical work, request recovery actions and recommend design/test/acceptance decisions within delegated competence.

Escalates unresolved technical, commercial, supplier or interface risks to Engineering Manager and Project Manager.

Mandate

Deliver MMS as an integrated, accepted and maintainable part of the overall railway solution.

Skills & Experience

• Work package leadership or senior system engineering experience relevant to MMS and asset register, work orders, preventive maintenance plans, fault workflows, reports, O&M handover data and integration with operator maintenance processes.
• Ability to manage suppliers, technical interfaces, assurance evidence and acceptance stakeholders across the full lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of requirements, configuration, installation and T&C dependencies.
• Resilience and resistance to stress during supplier delays, integration defects, test failures and acceptance pressure.
• Ownership mindset, technical credibility and disciplined reporting.
• More than 7 years for WPL/lead and more than 5 years for supporting engineers.
• Deep domain expertise in the named subsystem and multi-supplier interface experience.
