Job summary

The European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg is seeking a Head of Lending Technology & Applications Division to lead the technology landscape that supports lending operations, overseeing the applications and platforms and delivering secure digital solutions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 10+ years leading delivery and lifecycle of critical applications.
• Experience leading multiple tech teams in international environments.
• Proven ability to shape demand and define roadmaps with stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Java/JavaScript, Microsoft tech and Power Platform.
• Experience across full lifecycle: architecture to retirement, including security and resilience.
• Banking or regulated financial-services experience is a strong advantage.
• Excellent English; knowledge of other EU languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shape technology strategy for lending and own the roadmap, partnering with stakeholders.
• Provide strong technical leadership across an application landscape including Java/JS, Microsoft tech and SaaS/cloud.
• Lead transformation, modernisation and evolution of the lending apps with value delivery.
• Develop the Division’s management team and empower leaders across teams.
• Ensure secure, resilient operation of lending applications and production stability.
• Govern the delivery portfolio, budget and outsourcing, balancing investments with stability.
• Manage vendors and partnerships to ensure compliance and lifecycle ownership.
