The role of a Lead Systems Engineer is to create technical alignment across complex delivery projects, from stakeholder needs and system requirements to architecture, integration, verification, and final delivery.
At DIS/CREADIS, we are looking for a Lead Systems Engineer to lead the systems engineering effort on projects within defense, critical infrastructure, and advanced technology solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring alignment between customer needs, requirements, architecture, and technical implementation, while acting as the technical focal point throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is for someone who thrives on creating clarity in complex environments, driving technical decisions, and bringing together different disciplines around a common solution. As part of a customer-facing engineering environment, you will work closely with colleagues, customers, and project teams across Denmark. Therefore, this role requires you to be based in Denmark.
As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will be involved early in projects and play a key role in transforming customer needs into robust technical solutions. You will act as the technical link between customers, project managers, suppliers, and development teams, ensuring that all stakeholders work toward the same objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
You are motivated by understanding the bigger picture without losing sight of the details.
You enjoy working in complex technical environments where requirements, architecture, integration, and stakeholders must remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle. You are comfortable navigating uncertainty, creating clarity across disciplines, and providing technical direction when projects evolve.
You likely have a background in Systems Engineering, System Architecture, Technical Leadership, Integration Engineering, or a similar technical role and bring at least 8 years of experience from complex development or delivery projects.
We are particularly interested in experience across several of the following areas:
Experience with software-intensive systems and multidisciplinary engineering environments is highly valued.
A relevant M.Sc. degree within Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline is expected.
Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, Jama, or similar solutions is beneficial. Knowledge of MBSE, SysML, Risk & Decision Management, INCOSE principles, or experience from defense, aerospace, critical infrastructure, or other mission-critical domains will also be considered an advantage.
Fluent English is required.
You will not be responsible for a single component, discipline, or technology. Instead, you will be responsible for the technical coherence of the complete solution and for ensuring alignment from customer needs through to final delivery. At the same time, you will become part of an environment where collaboration, respect, and professional sparring are a natural part of everyday work. We work across disciplines to connect requirements, architecture, integration, and delivery, creating solutions that perform reliably in the real world.
DIS/CREADIS is an international engineering consultancy delivering advanced engineering and product development solutions across industries.
We combine software, hardware, systems engineering, automation, and domain expertise to solve complex challenges for global customers.
You will become part of a culture built on technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning, where skilled specialists support one another and create solutions that make a real impact.
We support equality and diversity and therefore encourage all qualified individuals to apply for a position at DIS/CREADIS - regardless of ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion or age.
