Job summary

CALJAN is seeking a Lead Automation R&D Engineer to shape the next generation of automation solutions. You will own automation design direction, define software architecture, and drive complex development from concept to release.

The role requires experience with automation systems, PLC platforms, and industrial software. Collaboration across Denmark and internationally is part of the job, with English fluency essential and Danish preferred.

Qualifications

Degree in Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related MSc/BSc.
Experience with automation systems and industrial software development.
Strong PLC programming knowledge across major platforms.
Experience with electrical design tools such as EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical.
Structured, analytical problem-solving approach.
Excellent collaboration in an international environment.
Fluent technical English; Danish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Define and develop software architecture for current and future products.
Lead standardization of software platforms across Caljan.
Drive automation and software development for customer solutions and R&D projects.
Support sales with technical design, specifications, and cost estimates.
Collaborate with international engineering teams on modular automation solutions.
Participate in robotics, computer vision, automation, and AI initiatives.
Oversee software and machine testing and product certifications.
Provide technical guidance to colleagues and field technicians.
