Job summary

COWI is seeking a Head of Discipline for Power Supply to lead a 20-person team within the Rail leadership group in Transport. You will partner with Heads of Discipline to develop people, capabilities, and deliver complex rail projects including electrification initiatives in Denmark.

You will guide the discipline’s technical direction, promote engagement and inclusion, and collaborate with the engineering and business teams to grow the Power Supply practice across Danish rail projects.

Qualifications

Must have people management experience as project manager or line manager.
Solid experience with railway projects, either as infrastructure owner, supplier, contractor or consultant.
Experience within rail electrification, traction power, power supply systems or related electrical infrastructure.
Professional proficiency in English and Danish.

Responsibilities

Manage the discipline on a day-to-day basis, including 1:1s, recruitment, and onboarding activities.
Support the Resource Manager in workforce planning.
Work closely with the Head of Engineering to set the direction for the discipline, including clear targets for performance and employee development.
Be responsible for promoting employee engagement and encouraging a productive, diverse, and inclusive culture.
Be involved in projects as a technical lead within your area of expertise.
Oversee the Power Supply agenda within Rail and collaborate with the business development team to build and grow the discipline.
