Job summary

COWI is seeking a Head of Discipline for Power Supply in Denmark to lead a 20-person team within the Rail leadership group. You will shape strategy, oversee power supply and electrification projects, and collaborate with the Engineering and Business Development teams to deliver high-impact rail infrastructure.

The role emphasizes people development, engagement, and inclusion, with a focus on delivering complex projects such as Danish electrification programmes and future S-trains in Copenhagen.

Qualifications

• People management experience as either project manager or line manager.
• Solid experience with railway projects, either as infrastructure owner, supplier, contractor or consultant.
• Experience within rail electrification, traction power, power supply systems or related electrical infrastructure.
• Professional proficiency in English and Danish.

Responsibilities

• Manage the discipline on a day-to-day basis, including 1:1s, recruitment, and onboarding activities.
• Support the Resource Manager in workforce planning.
• Work closely with the Head of Engineering to set the direction for the discipline, including clear targets for performance and employee development.
• Be responsible for promoting employee engagement and encouraging a productive, diverse, and inclusive culture.
• Be involved in projects as a technical lead within your area of expertise.
• Oversee the Power Supply agenda within Rail and collaborate with the business development team to build and grow the discipline.
