Job summary

COWI A/S in Denmark is seeking a Head of Discipline for Power Supply to lead a 20-person team within the Rail Transportation division. You will set direction, drive performance, and ensure an inclusive culture while delivering complex traction power, catenary and power supply projects for the Danish electrification programme.

You will collaborate with the engineering leadership to recruit, develop talent, and align the discipline with business demands.

Qualifications

People management experience as either project manager or line manager.
Solid experience with railway projects, either as infrastructure owner, supplier, contractor or consultant.
Experience within rail electrification, traction power, power supply systems or related electrical infrastructure.
Professional proficiency in English and Danish.

Responsibilities

Manage the discipline on a day-to-day basis, including 1:1s, recruitment, and onboarding activities
Support the Resource Manager in workforce planning
Work closely with the Head of Engineering to set the direction for the discipline, including clear targets for performance and employee development
Be responsible for promoting employee engagement and encouraging a productive, diverse, and inclusive culture
Be involved in projects as a technical lead within your area of expertise
Oversee the Power Supply agenda within Rail and collaborate with the business development team to build and grow the discipline
