Job summary

COWI is seeking a Head of Discipline for Power Supply in Denmark to lead a 20‑strong team within the Rail division and to shape strategy for traction power, catenary systems and power supply initiatives. You will partner with Engineering leadership to drive performance, workforce planning, and project delivery across major rail projects.

The role emphasizes people development, engagement, and inclusion, while maintaining technical excellence in a complex, evolving rail environment.

Qualifications

• People management experience as project or line manager.
• Solid experience with railway projects (owner, supplier, contractor or consultant).
• Experience within rail electrification, traction power or power supply systems.
• Professional proficiency in English and Danish.

Responsibilities

• Manage the discipline on a day-to-day basis, including 1:1s, recruitment, and onboarding activities.
• Support Workforce planning with the Resource Manager.
• Set direction for the discipline with the Head of Engineering and define performance targets.
• Promote employee engagement and an inclusive, collaborative culture.
• Act as a technical lead within your area of expertise on projects.
• Oversee the Power Supply agenda within Rail and collaborate with business development.
