Job summary

Airtame is seeking a Staff Engineer to own a slice of the platform layer—OS and firmware on Airtame devices. You will drive architecture, code in C/C++, and mentor engineers across Europe, with a 60/40 split between hands-on work and people leadership.

You will ship AirPlay/Miracast, streamline firmware releases, and bring new hardware onto a repeatable build path, from board bring-up to field deployment. Location: remote in Europe or hybrid from Copenhagen.

Qualifications

• Embedded Linux is your familiar ground: the kernel, the BSP, userspace.
• C and C++ running on the device.
• Experience with firmware, wireless stacks and streaming protocols.
• Leadership experience, with a 60/40 hands-on to people‑management mix.

Responsibilities

• Own a slice of Airtame's platform layer: architecture decisions and reviews.
• Lead the team, set technical bar, and grow engineers across Europe.
• Ship firmware from beta to default and make releases boring.
• Turn new hardware into a shipping Airtame with end-to-end responsibility.
