Job summary

Nokia is seeking a PhD-level telecommunications expert to lead invention disclosures and patenting efforts in 5G/6G technologies. You will collaborate with inventors and 3GPP delegates, drive claim charting, and help grow Nokia's global patent portfolio with a strategic impact on cellular standards.

You will work with patent prosecution teams and gain exposure to monetization activities, shaping technology ownership within a high-visibility group across Nokia.

Qualifications

• PhD in telecommunications with focus on cellular standards.
• Proven track record in patents or patenting in cellular standards.
• Deep expertise in 5G/6G systems, especially 3GPP PHY design or radio protocols.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with inventors to develop high-value 5G/6G invention disclosures and make filing decisions.
• Lead claim charting against 5G/6G specifications to support high-value patent portfolio development.
• Promote a culture of innovation through collaboration with inventors and patent associates.
